How does a child become enrolled in the program?
Currently, participants in K through 5th grade are reccomended by the adminisration and faculty of Westside Primary and Westside Intermediate Schools based on set criteria. Each year, students enrolled in the program advance in grade level, remaining in the program through high school.
What does Epoch mean?
Epoch: A peroid of time in history or a person's life marked by notable events or new developments.
How is Epoch funded?
The Epoch Dream Center is funded by individuals and community organizations who beleive in our mission. This includes: the Wicomico Partnership for Families and Children, the Local Management Board for Wicomico County, with funding from the Governor's Office for Children, the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, the Richard A. Henson Foundation, the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, the Rotary Club of Salisbury, and private donations and gifts.
What if I don't have time to volunteer, yet still want to be involved?
Thank you for your desire to support our mission. If you are unable to volunteer with us but wish to support Epoch, please consider supporting us financially. Can I earn Service Learning hours by volunteering with Epoch?
YES! We are more than happy to sign and complete any documentation related to service learning hours. It is advised that you check with your school prior to volunteering to make sure that the hours will be accepted.
What type of organization is the Epoch Dream Center?
Epoch is a 501(c)3 public non-profit. All donations made to Epoch are tax deductible.
