The mission of the Epoch Dream Center is to mentor, nurture, encourage, and equip children in the areas of academics, character development, behavior, and emotional wellness through after-school programs. The goal is to see students adopt the "Epoch Code" in their lives: Work Hard, Respect Authority, Love Everyone, and Forgive Quickly.
ABOUT US
The Epoch Dream Center is a referral based, free after-school and summer program serving under-resourced children and families in Western Wicomico County. We provide academic support, mentorship, character-building lessons, enrichment activities, and nutritious meals in a safe, caring environment. With a focus on holistic development, students receive homework help, one-on-one mentoring, interest-based clubs, and social emotional wellness support, all at no cost to their families.
Our staff, mentors, and volunteers provide a fun, loving, and structured environment so children can excel toward their fullest potential. Through their attendance at Epoch, children learn the value of hard work and the importance of making wise decisions.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Epoch offers daily homework help, one-on-one tutoring, and hands-on enrichment to boost skills and confidence. We make learning engaging, supportive, and fun for every student..
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Epoch’s social-emotional learning program helps students build confidence, manage emotions, and develop healthy relationships. Through group discussions, creative activities, and daily check-ins, kids learn to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
INTEREST HOUR
Epoch’s Interest Hour programs spark curiosity with passion-driven projects—from coding and art to science experiments and book clubs. Students explore what excites them in a fun, hands-on setting, building confidence and creativity along the way.
FAMILY-STYLE MEALS
Epoch’s family-style meals bring students together around the table—enjoying nutritious, home-cooked dishes while practicing communication, manners, and community-building in a warm, welcoming setting.
MENTORING
Epoch’s mentorship program connects students with caring adult mentors for weekly check-ins. These one-on-one relationships support academic growth, build confidence, and encourage positive social and emotional development.
Epoch’s Summer Program is a free, action-packed experience designed to keep kids engaged, learning, and growing all summer long. Students dive into hands-on activities, explore new interests, and build lasting friendships—all in a supportive, fun environment.
